Worship Ministries

Our Sanctuary Choir is open to all adults who enjoy singing. No audition or musical experience is required. This choir sings in the morning worship services each week and performs special concerts throughout the year.

The Sanctuary Choir also presents seasonal programs at Christmas and Easter.

Choir members who desire additional involvement are often featured in solos and ensembles during the morning and evening worship times.

CHOIR MEMBERS

Our Senior Adult Choir is open to any senior adult interested. This choir sings at several rallies throughout the year, performs seasonal concerts for various community groups, and sings occasionally in the church worship services.

The Senior Adult Choir rehearses each Wednesday from Fall until Summer at 10:00 A.M. in the choir room. Rehearsals are followed by the Senior Adult Club (Twix 'N' Tween) meetings and covered dish luncheon.

The Youth Choir is composed of all interested 7th-12th grade students. This group sings a wide variety of music with an emphasis on praise and worship tunes. An ensemble of students also rehearse as a youth praise band that is used on Wednesday nights during the Youth Bible Study hour.

The Youth Choir leads congregational worship once a month.

This choir is for 4 and 5 year old children. Children must be four at the beginning of the choir year (September). This choir's goal is to teach the children to enjoy praising God by using age appropriate songs and games. The children learn the fundamental concepts of music such as fast/slow, loud/soft, and high/low during their time in choir.

The Lil' Praisers Choir sings occasionally during worship and is featured during the Children's Choir Christmas musical and the end of the year concert.

The Music Makers choir is for 1st-3rd grade children. This choir's goal is to teach children how to enjoy praising God. They learn the various aspects of worship, music theory and fundamentals, songs and hymns, scripture, and seasonal musicals during the choir season. Instruction is age appropriate with lots of singing and games. Music Makers is FUN!!!

The Music Makers choir presents a musical and a mini-concert each year as well as singing occasionally for worship services.

The Worship Arts Ministry Team (WAM Team) is for students in 4th-6th grades. These students choose from 4 different ministry tracks such as vocals, crafts, movement, and drama / rhythm and then combine their efforts into a worship lead team. This group rehearses each Sunday afternoon @ 5:00 PM.

The Praise Band plays for both morning and evening worship services. The group rehearses on Wednesdays @ 7:30 PM, Sunday mornings @ 8:30 AM, & Sunday evenings @ 6:00 PM in the Worship Center.

Praise Band members are also given the opportunity to play solos and ensembles for offertories. The Band includes a wide variety of keyboard, percussion, wind and string instruments. Players must be able to sight read music of a medium difficulty level due to a large amount of music required and the limited rehearsal time available.
