Equipping Families to Rise Above the World

The Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Porter seeks to equip all children and their parents in the everyday process of “Defying Gravity.” Gravity is the constant force that holds and pulls us down to earth. Likewise sin acts just like gravity and holds us down and pulls us away from God. Christians should strive daily to defy the pull of our sinful nature and worldly ways and rise above the world. God calls us to pursue Him and that is exactly what the Children’s Ministry of FBC Porter will strive to build and develop in the lives of children and their parents.

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Here at FBC Porter, the primary way families are equipped to "defy gravity" is through a church wide initiative called Faith @ Home. The goal of Faith @ Home is to build multi-generational faithfulness in homes. To learn more about Faith @ Home, click here.

Children's Choir

Children's Choir (School Year)

We offer choirs to children 4 years through 6th grade and each group meets on Sundays during the school year. We strive to develop a strong music education program that will help raise the future musicians of the church. Click HERE to find out which choir is right for your child.

Wednesday

AWANA(School Year)

Wednesday's 6:20 PM - 7:45 PM

Registration begins at 6:00PM in the Worship Center Foyer. There is a one-time registration fee of $15 per child (family max of $40). Awana meets every Wednesday during the school year from 6:20 PM to 7:45 PM and is for children age 3 (by Sept. 1) thru 6th grade.

What Is Centri-Kid?

CentriKid is a five day, four night camp for 3rd–6th graders to experience the time of their lives and learn more about the message of Jesus Christ! From the future sports star to the young scientist to the rising chef, every kid gets to participate in exciting activities of their choice. We bring kids to camp where they'll take part in Bible study, recreation, track times, and worship. Camps are staffed by college and seminary students who can't wait to hang out with your kids and love to share Christ through every aspect of camp!
